General Information:

Ash machines well, are good in nailing, screwing and gluing, and can be stained to a very good finish. It dries fairly easily with minimal degrade, and there is little movement in performance.

Harvested Areas:

The North-Eastern Appalachian region.

Typical Uses/Availability:

Furniture, flooring, doors, architectural millwork and molding, kitchen cabinets, paneling, tool handles, baseball bats, hockey sticks, billiard cues, skis, oars and turnings. Typically available in thickness from 4/4 through 12/4.
